‘Cover License Plates When Parking in Red Zones,’ Calls the ‘Driver’s Friend’ NGO
The ‘Driver’s Friend’ public organization is urging drivers to cover their license plates when parking in red zones. If issues arise, the organization will offer free assistance and protect your interests, stated co-founder Sergey Ghahramanyan during a press conference today.
According to him, the community parking areas have simply become paid, but in many cases, drivers who pay the annual fee cannot find parking spots, while the security of vehicles, as promised during the implementation of the ‘red lines,’ is not ensured.
“Covering the license plate is only necessary when the vehicle is parked in an allowed area. Moreover, there is no traffic code violation when a vehicle is parked in an allowed area. This means that the driver is not committing any offense in this regard. The ‘red line’ is permissible and does not obstruct traffic,” noted Sergey Ghahramanyan.
He also remarked that there exists a group of drivers who excessively violate regulations, do not pay fines, and are convinced that they will be pardoned again, as was the case last year. “That is the worst thing that can happen.”
