Snow Falls on Ashotsk and Aparan Highways

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reports that as of January 16, at 17:00, snow is falling on the highways of the Ashotsk and Aparan regions.

On the highways of Ashotsk and Aragats, as well as on the Artik-Aragats road, from the Sevan peninsula to the Dilijan tunnel, and the Aparan-Mirak stretch, there is a blizzard.

The Vardenyats mountain pass is closed due to severe blizzard conditions and lack of visibility.

Other inter-state and republican highways are open.

Road construction workers are engaged in snow removal and treatment of the highways with salt and sand.
