Charges Filed Against Seyran Ohanyan
Former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has been charged in connection with the March 1 case. According to Aysor.am, the information has been confirmed by Vahagn Muradyan, head of the Department for Supervision over Especially Important Proceedings at the Prosecutor General's Office.
It was previously reported that within the framework of the March 1 criminal case, charges have been brought against former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan under Article 300.1 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to 'Overthrowing the Constitutional Order.'
According to sources from the media outlet, a signature bond prohibiting him from leaving the country has been chosen as a measure of restraint against Ohanyan.
It is noteworthy that Seyran Ohanyan held the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces during the events of March 1, 2008.
