The Obsession with Power Blinds People, Says Political Expert
The obsession with power blinds people. This obsession has brought us to the current day and has turned political ignorance into authority.
This statement came from political expert Stepan Danielyan on his Facebook page, referencing the discussions around the recommendation for Nikol Pashinyan to form a non-partisan government after the change of power, aimed at preparing a legislative package, followed by new elections.
“The desire for power is destroying people. After the change of power, Nikol was advised to form a non-partisan government that would prepare a legislative package (with a very specific agenda), after which new elections would be held. This would ensure public solidarity, even among various factions. This would transform the change of power into a revolution of values,” he stated.
“However, the obsession with power blinds people. This obsession is what has brought us to this day and has turned political ignorance into authority.
Our challenge is to create a national unity agenda, naturally outside of parliament.
There are very few people on the electoral list of the ruling party who fit into the ‘New Armenia’, but their number is small and does not constitute quality.
Our task should be to continue the unfinished revolution and bring it to fruition.”
