Leader of 'New Armenia New Catholicos' Movement Injured in Accident
The leader of the 'New Armenia New Catholicos' movement, which opposes the Armenian Apostolic Church's Catholicos Karekin II, Karen Petrosyan, was involved in an accident on December 26.
This information was confirmed by Armen Isahakyan, the director of the Gyumri Medical Center, in a conversation with Aysor.am.
Isahakyan stated that Petrosyan sustained a fracture of the pelvis and underwent surgery. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital on December 29. “Karen Petrosyan has suffered a fracture of the pelvis, has undergone surgery, and will be discharged tomorrow,” he said.
Petrosyan was driving a service vehicle at the time of the accident.
