From January 1, Car Importers Will Be Able to Calculate the Amount Payable

The State Revenue Committee has conducted a study of the information available on electronic platforms regarding the market prices established in the main countries of car exportation to update the information available to customs authorities on vehicle valuation.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the SRC reports that the results have been combined with the information available in the customs authorities' databases.

Starting January 1, 2019, for personal use vehicles imported (excluding vehicles acquired before January 1, 2019), the committee suggests using the value indicators from the "Calculator for Customs Duties on Vehicles Imported by Individuals from Third Countries" subsection on the official SRC website (http://www.petekamutner.am) to determine the amount payable in customs clearance.

The developed results will be available in that subsection starting from January 1, 2019.

Thus, from January 1, 2019, car importers for personal use will be able to pre-determine and calculate the amount payable during the customs clearance of the imported vehicle.
