Maierpetian Released on Bail of 30 Million Drams

The Yerevan court of general jurisdiction today granted the motion to apply bail as an alternative measure for businessman Samvel Maierpetian, who is facing charges for mediation in bribery.

According to the court's decision, Maierpetian has been released today after posting bail of 30 million drams. It is noteworthy that the Special Investigation Service has charged Maierpetian under Article 38-311 of the Republic of Armenia's Criminal Code (assisting in accepting bribes). He denies the charges brought against him.
