Arsen Torosyan: This is Yet Another Case of Journalists Intruding into People’s Personal Lives
The Acting Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, commented on the media reports suggesting that his grandfather was operated on under "privileged" conditions. He made a post along with photos of the receipts for his grandfather's surgery expenses.
"Journalists change, but their working methods do not. This is yet another case when they intrude into people's personal lives. In response to the 'publication', I present to the public the receipts and payment documents for my grandfather's surgery.
In the third photo, you can see my grandmother and grandfather in their home in Darpas village of Lori Province, where I grew up until I was four years old. Fortunately, my 83-year-old grandfather is no longer in danger; he will soon return to his daily life. I want to thank the entire team of the Chest Surgery Department at St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, headed by Associate Professor Hovhannes Sarkavaghyan, for saving my grandfather's life,” wrote the acting minister.
