Kocharian's Defenders to File Motion to Replace Arrest with Bail
The defenders of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharian, who is charged in the March 1 case, will file a motion in court to replace his arrest with bail.
This was stated by Aram Orbelyan, one of Kocharian's defenders, in an interview with Tert.am. “Today we will submit a motion to the court regarding the replacement of the measure of restraint of arrest applied to Robert Kocharian with bail. We hope that the court will decide on the motion before the end of the year,” Orbelyan noted.
When asked whether the amount for bail will be stipulated or left to the court's discretion, the defender said that it will be left to the court’s discretion.
It is reminded that Robert Kocharian is charged under Article 300.1 of the RA Criminal Code for the overthrow of the constitutional order.
