Will Gas Prices Increase? What to Expect from the Putin-Pashinyan Meeting – Igitian

On December 27, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Moscow and his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is approaching, and Hovhannes Igitian, a member of parliament from the "My Step" alliance, has no expectations.

"Both sides have declared that there are issues that need to be discussed," Igitian told Aysor.am's correspondent.

When asked whether a new change could be anticipated, such as a recent discussion about an increase in gas prices, Igitian replied:

"To be honest, seeing which media outlets have spread the information about a potential increase in gas prices, I understand what their goals are. The issue of raising or not raising gas prices is not resolved in such a manner. How is it possible that one media outlet has this news, and another does not? Moreover, officials do not even know about it."

According to Hovhannes Igitian, if the issue of gas prices is indeed discussed during the meeting of the two leaders, then the Prime Minister of Armenia will "certainly act in the interests of Armenia."

"Russia itself has repeatedly stated that its allies within the EAEU have a special relationship. Well, we will see what that relationship looks like," Igitian noted.
