Blizzard on the Road Segment from Sevan Peninsula to Tsovagyugh

The Armenian Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports that as of December 25 at 3:00 PM, snow is falling in the Vardenyats Pass. There is a blizzard on the road segment from the Sevan Peninsula to Tsovagyugh.

There is black ice in places on the Mastara-Lanjik, Goris-Sisian, and Artik-Aragats roads, as well as in the Vardenyats Pass.

Fog is affecting the roads in the Baghramyan region, with visibility reduced to 50-60 meters.

Due to the blizzard, the Vardenyats Pass is impassable for passenger vehicles, and it is closed to heavy and trailer transport.

Road builders are carrying out cleaning and salting work on the roads.

Other inter-state and republican significance roads in Armenia are open.
