Babylonian Has Held Farewell Meetings

The President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ara Babloyan, has held farewell meetings with the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, the Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. This information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the National Assembly.

During the meetings, the significant role of the legislative body in the advancement of the country transitioning to a parliamentary governance system was emphasized, particularly regarding the improvement of the legislative framework, the implementation of oversight functions, the establishment of political forces and civil society, ensuring the transparency of legislative activities, accountability, and expanding public participation in the law-making processes.

The activities of the 6th convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia were summarized and assessed, along with the work carried out in international platforms and parliamentary structures.

The parties expressed hope that the newly elected National Assembly would continue the established parliamentary traditions, infusing the legislative body’s activities with new energy and quality.
