No Force Has Challenged Election Results in the Constitutional Court

No force participating in the elections has appealed to the Constitutional Court and has not challenged the results of the early parliamentary elections.

Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan mentioned in an interview with NEWS.am that the CEC will convene in the coming days and will recognize the National Assembly as constituted.

“Political forces will be given a reasonable timeframe to submit their declinations. Following that, a protocol on the awarding of mandates will be drawn up, and the date of the Parliament's first session will be announced,” noted Mukuchyan. According to him, decisions related to the declinations will be made by the end of the year, while other matters will be addressed in the new year.

It should be reminded that the deadline for appealing to the Constitutional Court expired yesterday, on December 21, at 18:00.

The new parliament will have 132 deputies as a result of the parliamentary elections held on December 9. The “My Step” alliance received 88 mandates, “Prosperous Armenia” received 26, and “Enlightened Armenia” received 18 mandates.
