No Egg Deficit Expected, Poultry Breeders Association Claims
The Poultry Breeders Association reports that unfounded rumors regarding a food egg deficit in the republic are circulating.
“We officially deny such rumors and announce that currently, over 1.2 million food eggs are produced and brought to the market daily by 10 large and medium-sized factories along with more than 25 large farms (excluding household farms). This quantity and the existing reserves fully meet the daily demand of the consumer market and pre-holiday sales without raising the current price of egg releases,” stated the announcement from the President of the Poultry Breeders Association, Sergey Stepanyan.
“At the same time, we request wholesale and retail sellers not to artificially increase egg prices considering the sufficient supply and guarantees from local producers regarding the stability of egg prices,” the statement added.
