Call to Federica Mogherini: "Deter" EU Citizens from Visiting Artsakh
The President of the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Security and Defence, Anna Fotiga (Poland), has sent a letter to the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini, regarding the frequent travel of EU citizens to Artsakh.
According to the Azerbaijani agency "Trend", the MEP's request highlights that citizens of European countries have begun visiting Nagorno-Karabakh more frequently, resulting in their appearance on Azerbaijan's "undesirable persons" list.
The speech directed to the High Representative for EU Foreign Affairs and Security also states that visits to Nagorno-Karabakh are dangerous, as military clashes can occur in the conflict zone at any moment.
Fotiga has urged Mogherini not only to deter EU citizens from visiting Artsakh but also to take measures to inform them about the consequences on online platforms.
