Protest Against 'Slavery Law'
Thousands of people have taken to the streets in Budapest to protest against changes to the labor code. Police have used tear gas to manage the crowd.
According to Russia Today, the protesters moved towards the building of the state television. Some protesters blocked two major bridges over the Danube River.
The proposed changes to the labor code were introduced by the party of Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and have been passed by a majority in parliament.
Labor unions have labeled it the 'slavery law'. It increases the permissible overtime hours from 250 to 400 per year.
