The members of the "Enlightened Armenia" party are facing grotesque and terrifying anti-campaigns. This was stated by the party's president Edmon Marukyan during a live broadcast on Facebook.

"Large resources have been allocated, television, media space, big money, fake accounts, and fake people: there is an attack, a commotion. People are surprised, they call and write, saying 'Hey Edmon, hey brother, what has happened? Can't we clarify things for everyone? They have left the country's problems behind, abandoned their work, and are chasing after 'Enlightened Armenia'. Should we also leave our work? You have declared war on us, and you want to wage war with us. You’ve forgotten who we are and who you are. We will wear you out, we will wear you out long enough to fight. I don’t know who is watching the combatants, but if Gagik Tsarukyan is watching, listen closely to whom you have sent against us so that we attack them instead of you. I have done my best to restrain my teammates from saying anything offensive," Marukyan said.

Edmon Marukyan noted that everything started with the pre-election television debate when he asked the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, a question.

"I said that we will protect businessmen, there is no need to enter the parliament in the new Armenia, and they step into personal territory, saying 'Hey, you protect yourself, protect your party, do you know Gevorg, who do you know, and this is on Public Television.' Since 2007, you are the second force in Armenia, either you are in a coalition or in opposition, and in both cases, you have defended Serzh Sargsyan. And with the boys elected by Serzh Sargsyan, you are more opposition than I am," he added.

Marukyan declared that he and his party are not a project; in fact, they can have a project.

In conclusion, he mentioned that today they went to Echmiadzin, prayed for those who attacked them, and asked God to forgive them, as they have forgiven them: "You have been forgiven because you do not know what you are doing," he concluded.
