23-Year-Old Kidnapping Victim's Abductors Arrested: Details
On December 15 at 5:00 PM, a 23-year-old resident of Yerevan reported to the Arabkir police that on December 12, he was kidnapped against his will by several individuals using violence near 15 Adonts Street, transported in a Mercedes to a private house located near the Kanaker Hydro Power Plant. The suspects assaulted him, inflicting bodily injuries by hitting him with their hands and feet. One of the assailants, identified as Gor, threatened him with a gun, while Karen brandished a knife. Karen also broke the victim's mobile phone.
The investigation by the criminal search department of the Arabkir police revealed that the abductors were identified as 39-year-old Sargis M., 35-year-old Gor H., 28-year-old Armen M., and 38-year-old Karen J.
Following extensive operational-search measures, they were located and taken into custody by the Arabkir police on December 16.
A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 131, Section 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to the kidnapping of an individual by a group of people in a premeditated manner.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered.
Sargis M., Gor H., Armen M., and Karen J. have been arrested. An investigation is underway.
