Election Results Can Be Challenged in the Constitutional Court Until December 21
The primary issue for the first session of the National Assembly is its formation, and today the Central Electoral Committee (CEC) made a decision regarding the election results. This was stated by CEC chairman Tigran Mukuchyan during a conversation with journalists at the CEC.
"It is natural that it would be illogical to carry out functions based on a legal document that can be subject to dispute. Therefore, the CEC will wait until December 21, Friday, at 18:00. If there is no application submitted to the Constitutional Court, then preparations for the drafting of the record will begin. If there is an application, then various developments may be possible," he clarified.
Speaking about the applications for a recount, Tigran Mukuchyan noted that 13 applications for a recount have been submitted, of which only 2 were properly submitted, and the recount was conducted immediately.
