CEC Decided: How Many Mandates the Parties That Passed into the National Assembly Will Have

The Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, Tigran Mukuchyan, presented the decision on the distribution of mandates in the National Assembly during an extraordinary session of the CEC.

Thus, the "My Step" alliance, which passed into the National Assembly, will receive 84 mandates, in addition to the 4 mandates allocated to national minorities, totaling 88 mandates.

Out of these 88 mandates, 42 were achieved through the nationwide electoral list, with another 42 obtained via territorial lists.

Since the number of mandates received by the "My Step" alliance constitutes 83.8% of the total number of mandates, according to the Electoral Code, additional mandates must be granted to non-governmental forces that passed into parliament, ensuring the number of mandates held by non-governmental forces is one-third of the total number of mandates.

As a result, the Prosperous Armenia party, which originally received 10 mandates, will be allocated an additional 16, totaling 26 mandates, with 13 from the nationwide electoral list and 13 from the territorial electoral lists.

Similarly, the Bright Armenia party will have its 7 mandates increased by an additional 11, bringing its total to 18 mandates, broken down into 9 from the nationwide list and 9 from the territorial lists.
