Likely Discontent: The Reason Behind Levon Mnatsakanyan's Dismissal

General-Lieutenant Levon Mnatsakanyan asserts that he is unaware of the reasons for his dismissal yesterday as the former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army.

“What do I know about why I was dismissed, who removed me, ask him. They probably removed me because they are discontent,” Mnatsakanyan told a NEWS.am correspondent following his dismissal, after which he was appointed as the director of the Artsakh Emergency Situations Service.

The journalist inquired whether media reports were true that he was dismissed due to Senor Hasratyan's comments on Sasun Mikayelyan's controversial statement.

“I cannot precisely say what the reason is; something has been written, I think the same way, but I won’t comment,” Mnatsakanyan responded, adding, “Perhaps.”
