We Are Dealing with 'Mutilovka': Tonoyan on Accusations of Fraud Against Tsarukyan
The member of the National Assembly from the 'Tsarukyan' faction, Iveta Tonoyan, commented on Facebook regarding today's publication in the 'Zhamanak' newspaper about the allegations of fraud against the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan.
It is noted that the 'Zhamanak' newspaper reported that Gagik Tsarukyan could be charged with fraud if the circumstances of the complaint received by law enforcement bodies are confirmed.
Iveta Tonoyan specifically wrote: 'The 'Zhamanak' newspaper has once again demonstrated professional dishonesty and its infamous practice of publishing information that does not correspond to reality. First of all, I would like to point out that Gagik Tsarukyan is merely a shareholder in the company ‘Euromotors’ mentioned in the publication; furthermore, the shares are managed by a trustee manager. The investment projects are initially implemented by the company 'Princess Group', operating in the United Arab Emirates, which also appoints the company’s general director. In the case of Zarouhi Sargsyan, we are dealing with classic mutilovka, nothing more. As per the agreement signed between ‘Euromotors’ and ‘Smart Construction’, the full amount of $3,285,000 stipulated by the contract was paid to the latter back in 2016. And if Zarouhi Sargsyan had any grounds for not paying her dues, she would have approached the court by now, rather than relying on the oversight bodies of presidents or prime ministers over these years. In the case of Zarouhi Sargsyan, we are witnesses to the exploitation of Gagik Tsarukyan's name for private self-serving purposes, and the ‘Zhamanak’ newspaper has once again fallen for the urge to present misinformation or make wishful thinking into reality.'
