Tsarukyan Has Made a Final Decision

The newspaper ‘Zhampal’ reports: ‘The president of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Gagik Tsarukyan, has decided that the position of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, which is available to the PAP as the opposition, should be filled by the third candidate from the PAP list, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Arthur Grigoryan.

Tsarukyan is making this move to pay respect to the current authorities and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as Grigoryan has close ties with NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan.

Also vying for the position of Deputy Speaker are PAP Vice President Vahe Enfiadjyan and leader of the Alliance party Tigran Urikhanyan, but Gagik Tsarukyan's decision is final.’
