Is the Issue of Regional Governors Resolved?
It is natural that the most discussed topic these days is the issue of positions – who will become the President of the National Assembly, the Vice Presidents, the heads of permanent committees, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and so on. Among all this, the question of regional governors is also significant.
The fact is that out of ten regional governors, eight have been nominated through the territorial lists of the 'My Step' alliance, and seven of them have been elected as members of the National Assembly.
However, according to 'Fact' newspaper sources, no regional governor will receive a deputy mandate. A decision has been made at the meeting of the Civil Contract party's management to retain all ten regional governors in their positions. Thus, instead of governors, the next candidates from the territorial electoral lists will become deputies based on the ranked electoral system.
