Hayk Marutyan Introduces New Head of Avan Administrative District
The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has introduced Ara Danielyan as the newly appointed head of the Avan administrative district to the district staff. This was reported by Aurora News, citing the press department of the Yerevan City Hall.
"For me, a working person is not divided by political parties. For me, a person either loves Yerevan, works, and serves our city and its residents, or does not," said the mayor.
Hayk Marutyan emphasized that he expects transparent work from the staff within the framework of legality, adding that any violation will have legal consequences. The mayor also discussed several issues currently faced in Avan. In particular, it was recently revealed that parents of students at the Avan cultural center are being charged a higher fee than what is accounted for in the budget. "From now on, if there are not just shortcomings, but violations of the law, I will not hesitate to take action. Our state has entered a new phase; this is already the new Armenia, and we must accept the laws of the new Armenia. And if there are people who violate these laws, regardless of who they are or whom they are related to, they must be punished," the mayor stated.
The mayor also urged the administrative district staff to support the work of the city hall's departments in every way possible, as part of their duties.
Hayk Marutyan expressed confidence that the new head of the administrative district, Ara Danielyan, will use his experience and professional qualifications in governance to best serve the development and efficient management of Avan.
