Blizzard in Vardenyats Pass: Snowfall Reported in Several Cities

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that as of December 13 at 09:15, the roadways within the Republic are mainly passable.

However, a blizzard is occurring in the Aparan-Kuchak section and along the roads of Gavar. Due to the blizzard and poor visibility, the Vardenyats Pass is closed.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable. There is black ice on some roads in the Aparan region.

Snowfall has been reported in the Vardenyats Pass, the city of Artik in Shirak Province, the city of Aparan in Aragatsotn Province, in the Aragats region, as well as on the roads leading from Sisian to "Zanger" and from Saravan to "Zanger".

Drivers are advised to travel in the regions exclusively with winter tires.
