Vardenis Republican Mayor's Resignation Accepted

The Vardenis council has accepted the resignation of Mayor Aram Harutyunyan. This was reported to Aurora News by the official website of the Vardenis municipality.

"Guided by point 1 of part 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Local Self-Government of the Republic of Armenia and based on Aram Harutyunyan's personal application, the community council has decided to accept the request for resignation of Vardenis community leader Aram Harutyunyan," the decision states.

It should be noted that Aram Harutyunyan is a member of the Republican Party and assumed the responsibilities of the Vardenis mayor on November 13, 2017. He submitted his resignation on December 3.
