Recount of Ballots in Electoral District No. 9
Today, the 9th electoral commission conducted a recount of ballots at the number 24 basic school named after Spandaryan in Yerevan.
In a conversation with SHANTNEWS.am, the chairman of the commission, Yeghish Terteryan, reported that the recount is taking place for 15 out of 62 polling stations. This decision was made based on the requests from three majoritarian candidates—two from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and one from the Bright Armenia Party (LHK).
The candidates who submitted requests provided the names of five polling stations, and the ballots from these stations were opened for the recount. Terteryan noted that in the already verified polling stations, no violations concerning the parties were recorded. The only change occurred during the recount of one majoritarian candidate's ballots, which, however, did not bring about significant alterations. The precinct commission has provided explanations regarding this matter.
