Vanetsyan Cannot Be Vice Prime Minister, Says Levon Barseghyan

“Many other people can be vice prime minister, but neither Vanetsyan nor anyone from the National Security Service, police, Anti-Corruption Committee, and other law enforcement agencies can be the vice prime minister of the new Armenia,” stated Levon Barseghyan, president of the Journalists’ Club “Asparez,” on his Facebook page.

It is worth noting that the “Iravunk” newspaper reported that there are widespread discussions in the corridors of power that acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan intends to entrust the position of Speaker of the National Assembly to the first Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“He will be replaced in that position by Arthur Vanetsyan, director of the National Security Service, who has developed quite a good and warm relationship with the ‘My Step’ alliance, giving up his position to Feliks Tsolakyan, who was elected as a member of parliament with the ‘My Step’ alliance and is now acting Minister of Emergency Situations,” the publication stated.
