Russian Soldier Arrested in Gyumri on Suspicion of Brutally Beating Armenian Woman

On December 3, a Russian soldier stationed at the 102nd military base in Gyumri was arrested on suspicion of brutally beating a woman in the Slobodka neighborhood, according to the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.

Further details have not yet been provided.

It is worth recalling that a 57-year-old cleaning lady from Gyumri was killed after leaving for work. The woman who suffered the brutal beating did not make it to the hospital and died on the way.

A criminal case was initiated regarding the woman's death under Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to intentionally causing serious harm to health that, through negligence, resulted in the victim's death.
