Karen Ghazaryan's Trial Begins in Azerbaijan

A trial has commenced in Ganja (Gandzak), Azerbaijan, concerning the case of Karen Ghazaryan, an Armenian citizen from the border village of Berdavan in the Tavush region.

According to the Azerbaijani side, Ghazaryan is accused under several articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code. During the court session, witness testimonies were heard, after which Karen Ghazaryan answered questions directed at him.

It is noteworthy that Karen Ghazaryan was taken captive on July 15 of this year. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense presented the incident as an attempted diversion by the Armenian Armed Forces, alleging that Ghazaryan was captured as a result. However, the Armenian side later denied this information, stating that Karen Ghazaryan had never served in the armed forces.
