Court Reviews Extension of "Serj's Vacho" Detention

The Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan is reviewing the issue of extending the detention of Vachagan Ghazaryan, the former head of the security detail of Serj Sargsyan.

It is noteworthy that Vachagan Ghazaryan was detained on November 15, following a ruling by the Court of Cassation. He was charged on June 27 within the framework of a criminal case being investigated by the Special Investigative Service.

He is accused of concealing information regarding the actual amount of his monetary assets in the declarations submitted to the Ethics Commission for High-Ranking Officials and of illegally enriching himself.
