Son, I Pity You: Shahbazyan Responds to Youth Shouting 'Long Live Nikol'

Today, former NSS director and candidate for MP from the Republican Party of Armenia, Davit Shahbazyan, addressed reporters regarding NSS director Artur Vanetsyan’s statement that there is no basis for detaining Davit Shahbazyan.

“Mr. Vanetsyan, how does he know if there is a basis or not? He does not decide; it is Nikol Pashinyan who decides, although it is possible that he has not yet been informed,” he said. According to him, the NSS operates very effectively under the directives of the Prime Minister.

A citizen intervened during the Q&A session, shouting, “Long Live Nikol!”

“When you say ‘long live Nikol,’ you should say it with two Ts; saying it with one Ts is not acceptable,” Shahbazyan said, adding, “Son, I pity you.”
