Recorded Phone Call Involving Pashinyan Presented as Edited

Even during the previous administration, there have been no blood accusations against me as determined by the court, and as you know, the ECHR has started announcing decisions concerning the March 1 case, and I believe that these decisions already speak for themselves and show that the version of the previous authorities regarding the events of March 1, 2008, is fabricated from beginning to end. This was stated today by the acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in a conversation with journalists.

Pashinyan asserted that the real picture is, in fact, revealed.

"The details and the responsible parties will be disclosed. Ten citizens of the Republic of Armenia have been killed, and the evidence has been falsified; the army has been illegally involved in internal political processes," he noted.

Referring to the recorded phone conversation involving him, and the claims that he issues orders to judges, he stated that no instructions have ever been given to the judicial system, including in the context of the trial of Kocharyan.

"The parts of these phone conversations that prove this have been edited. The investigative bodies act not based on my statements, but on the factual data available to them," he said.
