Number of Voters Participating in Elections Revealed: 314,000 Fewer than 2017 Election Figures

1 million 260 thousand 840 citizens participated in the voting, which is 48.63 percent of the voters.

The participation rate in the snap parliamentary elections was reported to be 48.63 percent by Tigran Mukuchyan, the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), as he presented the information on voter turnout up until 20:00.

“A total of 2,592,479 citizens have the right to vote, of which 1 million 260 thousand 840 citizens participated by 20:00, or 48.63 percent of the voters,” he stated, adding that these figures are preliminary.

Accordingly, in constituency number 1, out of 200,915 eligible voters, 97,300 cast their votes, which is 48.43 percent.

In constituency number 2, out of 213,587 eligible citizens, 105,234 participated, totaling 49.27 percent.

In constituency number 3, 104,627 out of 225,181 eligible voters participated, which is 46.46 percent.

In constituency number 4, from 210,229 eligible citizens, 97,438 voted, or 46.35 percent.

In constituency number 5, out of 221,529 eligible voters, 112,179 participated, equating to 50.64 percent.

In constituency number 6, 103,927 out of 234,345 eligible citizens cast their votes, or 44.35 percent.

In constituency number 7, 61,306 out of 117,667 eligible citizens participated, or 52.1 percent.

In constituency number 8, 96,433 out of 191,152 eligible citizens participated, or 50.45 percent.

In constituency number 9, 113,111 out of 237,437 eligible citizens participated, or 47.64 percent.

In constituency number 10, 117,465 out of 240,105 eligible citizens participated, or 48.92 percent.

In constituency number 11, 103,697 out of 229,798 eligible citizens participated, or 45.13 percent.

In constituency number 12, 90,423 out of 161,762 eligible citizens participated, or 55.9 percent.

It is noteworthy that in the 2017 parliamentary elections, out of 2,587,706 citizens with voting rights, 1,574,947 citizens had participated by 11:00, representing 60.86 percent of the voters.
