Narek Sargsyan to Remain in Pretrial Detention

The Prague police have provided details regarding the arrest of Narek Sargsyan, the nephew of former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

According to reports from ‘Azatutyun’, Prague police spokesperson Jan Danek informed local media that the 37-year-old Narek Sargsyan was found in one of the apartments located in the less central district of Prague 5.

“The arrest was carried out during a police special operation due to suspicions that he was armed,” said Danek.

According to the Prague police, Narek Sargsyan will remain in pretrial detention until the court makes a decision regarding his extradition to Armenia.
