Money Distributed for the Republican Candidate in Charbakh
Reports have surfaced in the media indicating that money was distributed in one of the administrative districts of Shengavit.
In relation to this incident, Aravik Khachatryan, head of the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office, has clarified the situation, which is presented below:
“The publication titled ‘Reports of Electoral Bribery in Charbakh Received’ on 1in.am has been sent by the Shengavit district prosecutor's office to the Shengavit police division for the purpose of conducting verification procedures.
It is noted that, according to the publication, a witness reported seeing money distributed for one of the Republican candidates on Shiraz Street. A citizen who addressed ‘1in.am’ mentioned that polling station 8/47 is located within School No. 115, and that money was distributed from a neighboring building,” wrote Aravik Khachatryan.
It is worth mentioning that Facebook user Karen Harutyunyan specifically noted: “They are distributing money at station 8/47 in Charbakh (like the Republicans), the police seem to have caught them.”
