I Voted for Armenia Divided by Black and White: Vigen Sargsyan
I voted today for the Armenia where no one will ever think of dividing society into blacks and whites. This was stated by Vigen Sargsyan, the head of the Republican Party's electoral list, during a conversation with reporters after casting his vote at precinct 9/47.
“First of all, I have great expectations that our society will actively participate in the elections today. This is very important, especially in critical moments for the country, we must be united. Regardless of anyone's stance, the last thing we can do today is to stay at home,” Vigen Sargsyan said.
Sargsyan expressed hope that we will have a more united society from now on.
“I voted for the Armenia where no one will ever think of dividing society into blacks and whites because that is a direct path to creating an internal enemy. In a besieged fortress, the internal enemy is the worst thing that can happen. We need a stronger, more united, faster-developing country. Our challenges are very great, our resources to counter those challenges are incomparably smaller, and I expect that after today’s vote we will have a country where at least in vital areas such as security, defense, and foreign policy, we will rely on knowledge, experience, and perseverance, and we will not take steps that could weaken our positions in the region,” he concluded.
