Snow and Fog on Several Roads in the Republic

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reports that as of 09:30 on December 7, snow is falling on the roads of Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Jermuk, Meghri, and Sisian, as well as in the Dilijan serpentine and the Saravan and Vardenyats mountain passes.

Fog is present on the roads of Ahuryan and Artik, in the Meghri pass, and in the Mastara-Lanjik section, with visibility reduced to 50-70 meters.

There is black ice in some places on the Vardenyats pass. The Vardenyats pass is closed to heavy and trailer vehicles.

Road builders are currently conducting snow removal and treatment works with salt and sand on the roads.
