Snow and Fog on Several Highways of the Republic

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Armenia informs that as of December 7 at 09:30, snow is falling on the highways of Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Jermuk, Meghri, and Sisian, as well as in the Dilijan bends, and on the Saravani and Vardenyats mountain passes.

Fog is present on the highways of Akhuryan and Artik, in the Meghri mountain pass, and in the Mastara-Lanjik section, with visibility reduced to 50-70 meters.

There is black ice in some areas of the Vardenyats mountain pass. The Vardenyats mountain pass is closed to heavy vehicles and those with trailers.

Road construction teams are conducting clearing and treatment works with salt and sand on the highways.
