Putin and Lukashenko Have Disputed
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko had a slight dispute during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council while discussing gas pricing, as reported by Interfax.
Lukashenko drew attention to the conditions for Belarusian consumers, noting that gas costs $130 per 1,000 cubic meters, while for Russian consumers, it costs $70.
In response, Putin stated that if market prices applied to Belarus, gas would cost $200 per 1,000 cubic meters, not $130. He then suggested that the issue should be discussed later in a closed format.
