Opposition Campaign Against Marukyan by Tsarukyan and Avetisyan

If a businessman has entered the National Assembly to protect himself, it means that others are unprotected. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, who heads the electoral list of the "Enlightened Armenia" party, during a conversation with reporters today.

After yesterday's broadcast, a grotesque campaign against us has begun—one wing is the "Sasna Tsrer" group, and the other wing is the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). They want to silence our voice, while our voice represents hundreds of thousands of people. For years, the BHK has been the second political force; can anyone explain the justification for their place? What have they done, sent water to the revolution? People voted for Serzh Sargsyan, and today they talk about the revolution, then they tell me, 'but you didn’t participate.'

Yesterday's debate was cowardly because people were afraid to name names. They said, 'former coalition partners.' People are standing in front of you—don’t you have the guts to say it? People are putting money into the campaign to promote hostile rhetoric against us on Facebook," stated Marukyan.

It is worth noting that yesterday, a debate took place on the Public Television, featuring the leaders of the political forces participating in the parliamentary elections, during which Marukyan inquired of Tsarukyan about his reasons for participating in the elections, and accused Varuzhan Avetisyan of involvement in the killings of police officers.
