Photos: Trump Tours Ruins of Fire-Destroyed Town
United States President Donald Trump has toured the ruins of Paradise, a town devastated by one of the most destructive wildfires in California's history. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
The outlet notes that Trump silently walked through the town, accompanied by Paradise Mayor Jody Jones, personally witnessing the destruction.
The fires have claimed the lives of 74 individuals, with another 1,011 considered missing.
“No one could have imagined that such a thing would happen. The federal government stands by your side. We all must be together,” Trump stated, emphasizing that some victims' bodies had been burned beyond recognition.
Hours after the outbreak of the fire, nearly 12,000 homes and buildings were destroyed, including much of the town of Paradise.
