Ararat Mirzoyan on Existing Disagreements with Azerbaijan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, today addressed the upcoming "Return to Western Azerbaijan" third festival-congress to be held in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
“We have had multiple occasions to state that the discourse surrounding Western Azerbaijan and its sponsorship or support by Azerbaijani state structures does not align with the great discourse and process of peace, friendship, mutual recognition of political independence, and territorial integrity, which we have initiated with our partners in Azerbaijan. We have publicly reaffirmed our commitments countless times, we have signed documents, and we will continue to do so. Yes, we do not have an agreement on this issue,” he noted.
According to Azerbaijani internet publications, the event will take place on June 18-19 in Ordubad, organized jointly by the representation of the President of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, Nakhchivan State University, and the "Community of Western Azerbaijan."
