Europe's 'Plan B' Unveiled
The Economist reports that representatives from countries within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have disclosed new information regarding Europe's contingency plans. The publication states, "Some European armed forces are developing secret battle plans not only without the help of the US but also without significant parts of NATO's command and control infrastructure."
According to the magazine, concerns about NATO's future have been triggered by the crisis that has arisen between the US and Greenland. At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has prohibited officials from discussing the search for alternative options to prevent the US from feeling sidelined.
