Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the partnership between Russia and China is not aimed against any side, but rather serves global peace and prosperity, TASS reports.

“We are not befriending anyone or against anyone, but we are working for the cause of peace and universal prosperity. It is with this logic that Moscow and Beijing systematically act in defense of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, in all their fullness, combination, and interconnection, supporting active cooperation through the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS, and other multilateral frameworks, making a significant contribution to solving global and regional urgent issues,” said the state leader.

According to the Russian President, the joint work carried out in these formats has a significant impact on addressing contemporary regional and global challenges.
