VIDEO: Peleshyan in Cannes - the Triumph of Armenian Cinema Continues

Cannes hosted a special screening dedicated to the renowned Armenian filmmaker Artavazd Peleshyan as part of the Classics program at the 79th International Film Festival.

The Armenian Film Foundation reports that the fully packed auditorium saw the screening of five restored films by the director, allowing the audience to traverse various phases of Peleshyan's cinematic world. Present at the screening was Artavazd Peleshyan himself, who received an exceptionally warm welcome from the audience accompanied by prolonged applause.

"This screening once again affirmed the Maestro's continuous presence in world cinema," stated representatives from the Armenian Film Foundation.
