How Will Pensioners Pay? Tsarukyan's Harsh Criticism

In Yerevan, property tax has increased by 100%, but how will pensioners pay this amount? This was stated by Gagik Tsarukyan, the president of the Prosperous Armenia Party, during a campaign event in Erebuni.

"Property tax is determined not by cadastral value but by market price. This is an unfair decision. They say to sell, go to the border, live in the villages. This is an insult to the people. They can pass a law that whoever bought an apartment in Yerevan in 2020 should pay this property tax they are talking about. If a person buys a house for 200 thousand, then they are capable of paying the property tax. But how will the pensioner, who lives in his native apartment, pay?" Tsarukyan remarked.
