Mother See Issues Important Statement

On May 16, His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received a group of cultural figures who visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to express their support, filial love, and loyalty to the Holy Church and the Catholicos.

“The meeting addressed the social-political situation created in Armenia, the painful developments and challenges recorded in intra-societal life, as well as the current concerning dynamics of the Church-State relationship. During the conversation, the God-established, historical, and uniquely spiritual mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church was emphasized in the preservation of national identity, the spiritual strengthening of society, and the consolidation of nationwide unity.

Special emphasis was placed on the commitment of the Armenian Church and Armenian intellectuals to overcome the crisis of values, foster public solidarity, and promote a spiritually and morally healthy atmosphere in society, as well as to enhance the spirit of love and unity,” reported the Mother See.
