Iran Warns: Military Strikes to Be Launched
The Iranian authorities have developed a new mechanism for regulating navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the TASS news agency, Tehran has prepared a special route exclusively for countries cooperating with the Islamic Republic. Details of the initiative will be officially announced shortly.
The head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, stated that this step is being taken to ensure state sovereignty and the security of international trade. The member of parliament mentioned that only commercial vessels and Tehran's partner countries will be allowed to pass through the designated special route, and a fee will be charged for the specialized services provided.
At the same time, under the new regulations, participants in the U.S.-led 'Project Freedom' will be deprived of transit rights. The Iranian side has warned that any attempts to breach the maritime area without authorization will be met with military strikes. Furthermore, the chairman of the parliamentary commission emphasized that any U.S. interference in navigation regulations will be regarded as a violation of the ceasefire regime.
